This is my first time blogging, so the experience is quite interesting. Fact is, I've been pouring over the horrors of Literary Criticism for hours, and am in need of a break. Going outside isn't an option! I suppose we should consider ourselves lucky that we've had such great, favorable weather for the month of October, but now...well, look out! The wind is roaring, the sleet is falling, and there isn't a trace of sunshine in sight! Ugh! Perfect weather for supreme boredom to set in!!
Has everyone checked out the new, modernized Sherlock Holmes on Masterpiece Theater? It's bloody brilliant! Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman star as 21st century Sherlock and John. There are three episodes in the arc, running at 90 minutes each, and they air on Sundays at 8pm. All I can say is WOW! Every character is perfect in their respective roles, especially Ben and Martin, who have amazing online chemistry! I was a little wary of a modern version, but I was blown away, especially by the last episode, The Great Game...no pun intended. Muhaha. Be prepared for greatness, America.
